Meet The Barrhaven Team


Angela Hopper

Angela Hopper graduated from a 2200 hour program from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy with honours after completing an undergrad in Music from St. Francis Xavier University. She is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.

Angela is passionate about providing comprehensive treatment plans that are attainable for her patients. She focuses on postural alignment, headache and migraine relief, correcting repetitive stress injuries, nerve entrapment, TMJ dysfunction, sports injuries, stress management and pelvic floor dysfunction. She believes that people should not have to live in a state of chronic discomfort and through manual therapy we can get you on a path of relief!
  


Tareq Sobh

Tareq Sobh

Tareq graduated with honours from the Algonquin Massage Therapy program. Prior to becoming an RMT Tareq began his career as a nurse turned physiotherapist. Upon arriving in Canada he had to begin his career again. Choosing massage therapy,

Tareq brings qualities from all his past professions. Compassion of a nurse, rehabilitation exercises of a physiotherapist and intuitive hands of a massage therapist.

His skills include trigger point release, myofascial release, deep tissue treatments and an element of relaxation


Kelly Van den ham

Kelly Van den ham

Kelly graduated from the International Academy of Massage in 2015. Kelly has passionately pursued a thriving career in massage. She is skilled in many facets of massage, such as cupping, scraping and Reiki.

Kelly exercises an easy going, non judgmental approach to tailor the individual needs of the client. 

Beyond the table, Kelly strives to educate on the benefits of massage, not limited to physical, but overall wellness. 

Outside of massage, Kelly enjoys time with her grown up daughter, music, creative arts and pets.


Lisa Dick

Lisa Dick

After leaving her first career as a flight attendant, Lisa decided to hang up her wings and follow her passion in health and wellness. She worked as a chiropractic assistant as well as part time in a health food store where she gained knowledge in anatomy and physiology and holistic nutrition. She decided to pursue a new career and attended Trillium college where she graduated with honours in Massage Therapy.

Lisa is also certified in Thai, Advanced and Prenatal Thai Massage as well as Acupuncture. She teaches Hatha and Yin yoga and is an aspirant for the deeper connections of body, mind and spirit. She incorporates proper alignment and breath to Swedish techniques in order to deepen the mind-body connection during treatment.

Zahra Madahany

Zahra has a B.Sc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). She graduated top of her class from the International Academy of Massage (Ottawa), and is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

Zahra has worked internationally as a massage therapist, as a rehabilitation assistant in a nursing home, and in a multi-disciplinary osteopathy and sports therapy clinic. She has assessed and treated a wide range of muscle aches, pain and injuries in the sporting world and in everyday life.

Zahra uses a variety of techniques, and tailors her approach to the individual and condition. She regularly checks in, and adjusts her modality and pressure as needed. Her priority is to address each condition, and do what it takes to effect improvement.

Zahra is always improving her knowledge and skills with reading, coursework, and skills-exchanges with colleagues. She has a lifelong interest in health, and believes in the mind-body connection, as well as the body‘s ability to heal itself. She truly enjoys helping people achieve their wellness goals.

Outside of work, Zahra enjoys tennis, pickleball, swimming, going to the gym, and heading out on nature hikes. Having an active lifestyle reminds her of the importance of self-care and physical activity on quality of life.


Negeen Aidun

Acupuncturist

Negeen Aidun is a registered acupuncturist from International Academy of TCM in Ottawa. She also has DEC in Sciences from John Abbott College.

Her passion for alternative medicine, specifically acupuncture, developed due to her personal challenges, where acupuncture played a significant role.

She treats a variety of health conditions such as, pain management, mental health & anxiety, insomnia, menstrual issues/irregularities, PMS, male & female fertility support, menopausal symptoms (hot flashes), digestive issues, asthma, allergies and more.

She is deeply passionate about taking a wholistic approach in treating and supporting the patient’s mind, body and soul. Negeen is fully bilingual in French.
